Happy days, late nights, but it is harvest time! Only for a couple more days, so this was probably our last outing at the field. It's been fun!

Harvest Pictures with the Cousins!

Not sure how we got that one, because when we threw Grandma into the mix, we only got partial pictures.
That was the best one. Then we got one without Jace...

Deanna Rose Farmstead
Okay, so we went to the Deanna Rose Farmstead in AUGUST....but I just remembered I hadn't ever posted pictures...I think...so hopefully these aren't repeats.
This place was CHEAP. $2/adult, and that's only if you go on Friday-Saturday-Sunday. The other days of the week it's FREE.
Jace enjoyed tormenting the geese...

Checking out the cows...(wait, don't we have those at home?)
Could barely get him to pose for a picture...
The baby goats were a huge hit with Jace.
Especially when they hopped up on this stump and he could push them off.
We fed the fish...which we have done a lot this summer it seems.
Hung out with Grandma (Aunt Jena went too...)
Worked on our colors...
Fed some big goats (I think...)
Took a hayrack ride...
Talked to the horses...
And went down this HUGE slide!
Okay, so he may have hesitated when we got to the top, but I may have just pushed him down it without giving him time to change his mind...turned out to be a good decision because he went down it several times!
And tried out some playground equipment.
It was a great day and a really neat place!

To sum it up...
September was a busy month. Not many pictures taken. Here are the last few good ones from September:
I told Jace not to let Angus come in the house. So he didn't. He improvised.
A little hair do after bath time...
And bedtime. We now sleep with the combine, tractor, and grain cart. And if he is up in the middle of the night, these come with him. A farmer's job is never done I guess!

September...
is flying by. *Sigh*
It's harvest time...Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa are checking out the new bin setup at Grandma J's and Papas...and if you look really close Jay is holding Jace next to the truck.
I hate that Jace isn't looking at the camera, but love his expression. Great-Grandma went for a ride too, and I can just hear Jace saying "What's she doing in my seat?"
We still LOVE to swing and spend lots of time doing that...
Evidence of some of the fun stuff Jace did this summer....threw in this picture to show that we have been working on potty training...
And this picture because of his smile...he was really excited to see all these things again before they got put away! Most of these items came from Barb's (daycare), or story hour at the library.
I'm super proud of this one...we went from being afraid of swimming pools and rivers at the beginning of summer, to a fish at the end of summer!
And yes, it is harvest, and I'm back to school. Which means we are all super tired, and Jace doesn't see Daddy much. So he told me one night that he needed to wait for Daddy to get home. I agreed he could do that until I got the kitchen cleaned up, and he was asleep in 5 minutes or less.
