Kyler Turns 3!

Winter Park

At the end of February, in between snow storms, Jed and I took a trip with some friends to Winter Park Colorado to go skiing!  It was a BLAST.  Some might even call it "Epic."

Yep, I went down that "BLACK DIAMOND."  After a very traumatic "Blue", this was an awesome run, lots of powder and a lot of fun!

Jed just can't leave work at home.  Always the agronomist, he decided to check the soil temp at the base of a tree!  Ha!  Real story:  We were skiing down a narrow path that had moguls and trees and the whole nine yards.  We heard some kids (probably 8 years olds, and their mom) coming down the path, so we tried to move out of their way.  Jed side stepped, got his ski's crossed, and bam, there he was.

Megan and Angela at the top of the mountain!  I made it up there 3 times!  Jed probably more like 5 or 6....I wasn't as brave as him at first!

Ahhh....the last day.  Saved just enough time to have some beers before leaving!

This picture is worth a thousand words...Jace pulled a chair up to the counter and climbed up on it.  When he wanted down though, he wouldn't just hop down, and I decided I wasn't helping him.  If he could get up there, he could get down.  SO, he was throwing a FIT.  So, in this picture, Jed is trying to talk to him and he has crawled under the bread cabinet to get away from Jed...

 

Poor kid.  Eventually he did get down...and he knows how to get down all by himself now.

 

 

And last, but certainly NOT least!  We started potty training Jace last July, a few days after Jena and Carl's wedding.  He did really well with it, we had a relapse right before Christmas, but ever since then he has done great.  I have seen people bragging on facebook about their potty trained kids and well, I forgot to brag about him on Facebook.  SO, we are VERY proud of Jace...he caught on really quickly we think...and he is definately a BIG BOY now!

 

The sticker-potty chart we used to get him potty trained.  A combination of star stickers, farm stickers, and fish stickers did the trick!  AND his big prize that he got at Christmas time was a JOHN DEERE FISHING POLE! 

The Snow.

I LOVE snow.  I'm a teacher...what's not to love about a good ol' snow day?  And Jace and Jed love playing in the snow...really, what's not to love?
