Our Wheat Harvest

 

It's not a lot of wheat...but it's enough!

You can almost see Jace in the tractor with Jed.  I started off riding with them, and it didn't take Jace long to tell me I should just go watch from the seat of the ranger.  And so it begins....

 

Wheat Harvest and Cows, Cows, Cows!

A cousin of mine got married in Garden City, KS on June 29th, so we travelled West!  On our way we took a detour through Pratt, KS to visit one of Jed's friends and classmates as he was on wheat harvest.  Jed and Jace were both excited to see the crew work and get to ride!

 

 

Travelling can be so tiring.

 

While we were there we toured the Garden City Feed Yard where my uncle works.  Here's Jed, Jace, and my Dad cruising through the feed yard.

A Milestone Birthday....

And it should be noted that after Jace and I sat down at Pizza Hut he insisted that we move to the other side of the restaurant so he could see the tractor dealership out the window.  Even if it was those "ugly" red ones.

And now, about that birthday.  Jed turned 30 this year!  Some flashback photos:

We celebrated with family on Father's day, and then with friends on his birthday.  We spent the afternoon golfing at Horton and then stopped at Willie's in Atchison on the way home.  A good time was had by all!

Jace's First.....

The Dentist is fun when they have headphones for cartoons, sunglasses to block the light, and they let you hold the cool "toys!"

 

 

Oh.  And our first time meeting cousin Mark.  Brian and Allie's baby, who is now two weeks old.  Jace really wasn't impressed, but he did hold him for about a minute.

Because sometimes...

You just need your blankie.

 

 

Like when you fall of a chair while eating lunch, and decide on your own that it is time to go lay down for a nap.

 

Practicing baseball, like Colton!  Ready to play for the K-State BatCats, or maybe the Royals.

 

"I'm going to eat my snack outside and watch what you're doing Mom."  Um, okay.

A Few Random Ones....

They're not really for swimming.  They are for dusty ranger riding and mowing the grass.

 

Family photo!  Jed and I went to the Royals game on June 9th for Melissa's birthday.  It was K-State Day at the K, and a lot of fun.

Thomas the Train

Jace, Grandma J, Jena and I travelled to Baldwin City to see Thomas the Train.
