A view out our kitchen doors---can you see the deer up there?  We have seen 10 or more some evenings--so exciting for Jace!

Jed and Jace were hard at work on his Valentine's last month....

And I've posted about getting my workout in---but Connor doesn't let anything get in the way of her workout!  She is always doing some crunches!

Sometimes....

Sometimes, Connor looks even more precious when she sleeps.  Sometimes she falls asleep in a "milk coma".

 

Sometimes, Uncle Jay changes a diaper.  And it looks like Connor is laughing at him.

 

Sometimes I let Jace have my phone in the truck.  And he takes a selfie.  And hey, it's not too bad!

 

Sometimes, all the time, Jace is a great helper with Connor.  He often asks to hold her, and if Connor gets a bottle, he wants to help.  A lot of the time we ask him to "go talk to Connor so she quits crying" and he does.  She loves him.  And he knows that, and tells us that.  :) 

 

Sometimes, One time, we all went to put some cows in the barn before a snow storm, and Connor fell asleep while we were waiting for Jed and Jace.

 Sometimes, I can get both kids looking at the camera.  It's hard to get them both with big smiles at 

 the same time though...

 

Sometimes,  All the time, Jace gets to help blow out birthday candles, no matter who's birthday it is.  (Happy Birthday Uncle Jay).  Sometimes Jace gets to help put the candles on the cake.  (Can you tell?)

 

Sometimes, Jace is random.  He found this "magazine" in the newspaper and thought it was the best. magazine. EVER.  "It has a lot of good stuff in it Mom!"  "We need to get some of these!"

 

Sometimes, working out is a team effort.  Jace played basketball, I ran on the treadmill, and Connor watched both of us.  Whatever it takes!

Winter Park, Colorado

This was our second year traveling to Winter Park for a ski trip.  Just like last year, it was a blast!

The first day there it was super windy, which you can kind of tell in the top left picture.  The remaining days it was still cold and windier than last year, but not as bad as the first day.  We went with friends Ryan and Megan Grable, and their kids, Austin and Gracie.  The first day the kids were in ski school; the second day we skied with Megan and Austin, while Ryan and Gracie worked on her "moves."  The top left picture here is from the very top of the mountain--Austin made it up there on his second day of skiing!

  

Here are some photos of Winter Park.  The second night we were there we spent some time in the hot tub while getting snowed on, and woke up the next morning to several inches of snow! (Bottom left picture)

 

This picture is from the first day of skiing--I pretty much cried the whole way down this steep beauty.  You can see me, Jed, and Megan in the far back of the picture, waiting to jump off the edge!

Here are the four of us that made it to the top on the second day!  Notice how Megan and I are standing...it was steep up there and windy!

 This picture is from our ride down the top of the mountain--we just bailed off the edge and cut our own path through the heavy powder!  I love skiing in heavy powder--Jed not so much.  It is really hard to get up if you fall in heavy powder.  You can see Jed and Austin made it down...and fell down!  Megan and I also had our share of falls getting down from the top!

Jed getting ready to head down the black diamond the "Drunken Frenchman".  That didn't turn out so well...with moguls as big as Jed, he bailed out through the trees to get onto a blue/black....but he'll try it again next year!

Overall, had a blast.  Was it hard to leave the kiddos?  Oh yes.  We are really looking froward to the day when the kids are old enough to go on these fun trips, but until then, we know they are being spoiled very well taken care of back home.  But, someday we will be old and not agile, so at that point we will be traveling to beaches instead of mountains.  Until then...it's the mountains and adventures for us!  As one of my friends says, #helovesadventuresandilovehim.

He was down for about two days...luckily this happened over a 3 day weekend for mom...we are all glad he is healthy once again!

February Fun...

A new toy for Connor....propped some blankets around her and ta-da! Happy baby!  Well, for about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, Connor is just hanging around.

 

Spend 3 days at home, and I was able to work out a couple times!  This day was a team workout: Jace was napping, I was running, and Connor was just happy.

 

Connor was laying in bed with Jed one night while I was getting Jace ready for bed and found her thumb!

 

Then Jed gave her the binky, and put herself to sleep!

 

Who wouldn't want to be Jace's valentine?  This is his box we made for his school party.

 

Always have to have a picture with Connor too!
