Took the binky away from Connor.  Then this one finds one while she is at my house...

It has taken 22 months for Connor to do this.  Until now she has thrown a fit every time we put the towel on, because she doesn't like the hood, and wants the towel under her arms.  And then you pick her up and she giggles and squirms.  It's her system.

But we gave her a shower, and she is turning over a new leaf!

Jace was helping me make a dessert by smashing pretzels.  Connor was throwing a fit so I gave her a bag so she could do it too.  Turns out...she just wanted to eat the pretzels!

Jace crawled into our bed one morning and I came back to find him like this...looks cozy!

This is our friend Mackenzie...holding Cassidy and Connor at the Grable's Fourth of July party...they both didn't care for the fireworks and they both love Mackenzie!

Connor and I went to a baby shower for Jena and Brook at the Tharman's this weekend...Connor hadn't napped much and wasn't in the best mood...but she looked cute and we got a quick pic of her and Jena!

These two helpers helped Derek, Jed and I get a hotwire fence around the sweet corn patch so the racoons would stay out of it...I thought they wouldn't last long, but they were good help!  It may have felt like 105 degrees...but they act like it's sunny and 75!

And last, but not least...Connor said she wanted a snack and I was busy doing something so I said in a minute.  Well, in a minute I went in the kitchen and she was helping herself to Jace's leftover breakfast cereal...

And yes, that's a K-State cheer uniform.  Football season really isn't that far off....

4th Of July Fun!

Independence Day is a 2-3 day event for us.  It's a jam packed couple of days, that leave us exhausted but it's fun!

We started on July 3rd, with Grables' Annual Fourth of July Party.

Jace was willing to take a picture for me, Connor was off looking at the cows...

I did get her to take a photo with me!

On the 4th, Jed and I did a 5K in the morning, then Jed went fishing.  The kids and I went to hang out at Grable's pool, until it was time to go watch the parade!

Jed left the fishing boat at Grable's while he was helping with the fire department cookout...and it provided entertainment for the kids! 

The day after the 4th, the kids and I rode around with Jed all morning, and into the afternoon.  We went to Seneca to pick up beans, then south of Troy to deliver them.  We had some tired kiddos....

After all that running around, it was time for hay baling! Jace had been waiting for this all weekend!

Sweet Connor.

It's a.....GIRL!!!

Brook Anne Tharman was born on June 30.

She weighed 7 lbs, 10 oz.

20.5 inches long.

WE ARE SOOOOO EXCITED!!!

Jace and Connor brought gifts for baby Brook.  (Things I dug out of Connor's stuff...)

Jace gave her a "blingy" K-State hat.

Connor gave her hair-bows.

Connor wants to do everything herself...but luckily she will hold Jace's hand when crossing traffic.

Storytime and Airplanes.

We went to see Miss Cindy at the Wathena Nursing home for story time.

Jace didn't get the one he wanted...but thankfully he put this one on.

Kyler wasn't shy at all, surprised?

And Colton was hiding by the other big kid, because I think he was "too cool" for this.

I couldn't believe Connor put one on and left it on the whole time they sang a song!

She got into the actions of the song too!

We visited with Grandma Lucille while we were there.  I asked Colton to take our picture.

And after that we ate lunch at Rosecrans...I was afraid those parked planes were the only ones we would see while we were eating lunch outside...

Boy, was I wrong.  We saw 3 planes land, and the pilot of this plane came over and asked the kids if they wanted to go out and look at the plane!  They got to stand on the wing and look inside!

Connor hates planes, so this wasn't her best day ever...
