The end of School...and..

We have cute kids.  :)

He grew!!!  A little comparison between the beginning of the year and the end...

Oh, and he did learn to tie his shoes.  These shoes didn't last until the end of the year...but I made him wear them for the picture.  Oh, and his John Deere shirt also "accidentally" got cut with scissors at some point in the year....hmm....

The end of the year picture with Aunt Jena aka Mrs. Tharman.  It was so awesome having her next door to Jace all year!

And in the midst of the end of school....decided to do a half marathon in Manhattan.  The Bill Snyder Half Marathon.  In Manhattan you drive out to I-70 and just make a starting line..

Jena and Ryan ran it too!

I finished in 1 hour and 57 minutes...barely under 2, but I made it!

Oh, and there was this guy at the finish line...Bill Snyder himself!  Jace would have rather gotten a picture with Willie the Wildcat!

Kids slept on the way home...one of them woke up a little grumpy...

And, saw this so had to get a picture while we were there!

Connor got herself stuck in some wrap on a chemical pallet when we were at the shop one day.  Whoops...

Jace and Jed checked some corn that was starting to come up...

This dress.  Loved it when I ordered it....but it's too short, and probably shouldn't be worn unless she is filling the role of Heidi...so it makes a good play dress and she can "TWIRL" in it!

First baseball game!  He's been waiting his whole life for this!  And he got to play catcher that night!  And he hit 3 home runs!  (We played another kindergarten team...so it was a matter of no one being able to field the ball...but it counts!)

Jace's field trip was to the Discovery Center in Topeka, which has a ton of hands-on, pretend play, learning.  He made a smiley face in the woodworking area!

He was willing to find snails in the creek for everyone!

Had a fun day with these two!  Charli's mom couldn't make it so she played with Jace and I that day.

No outing is complete without a picture with Aunt Jena!  His year with her is coming to an end!

Mustache Day on the Alphabet Countdown...

The kids take turns getting the mail when we come home every day...4 out of 5 days of the week I don't even have to get out to pick any up off the ground that they drop!  That's a win!

A little birthday celebration for Grandma J...with all the grandkids gathered round!

And also on Janie's birthday Jed brought home a baby cow, which we are currently keeping in a dog kennel in our backyard.  Because that's what we do...

Luckily the kids are super excited about it...so far...

They ask to go to the park every day...

So one day we picked up some extra kids and went!

Mother's Day Tea Party.  I've looked forward to this day all year.  And had my middleschool field trip booked for that day! Thankfully got it worked out for me to stay at the school so I could be with Jace!  Wouldn't miss these moments for the world!

And this lucky kid...got to help finish up planting after school that same day.  How exciting!
