Christmas Morning!!!

Reading the note from Santa!

Having a little breakfast...

Even Pepper got in on the action for awhile!  Her favorite spot is....Jed!

A new coat, and a Barbie Doctor with twin babies!

Santa brought Jace a John Deere train set!

And for Connor....a Dollhouse!

The kids each got a Nerf Rival gun for Christmas...so now we have little yellow balls all over the house...

And another tractor to add to Jace's collection.

Jace's present from Santa got him just a little excited...

His very own bow!  Santa says it is big enough to grow with him through college!  HA!

We got him some arrows for his old bow--but turns out they will work on the new bow too!

Christmas Eve

Ready to go!  With more enthusiasm than this photo shows...

More smiles once we got to Grandma and Grandpa Boos' house.

Photos of the grandkids...when some aren't looking, and then everyone looks and one of them hides behind his sister's hair bow...

I guess I didn't get a Luedke family photo...but I got their kids!  And the Powell family!

And SO excited to get this chopper!!!

Connor and the girls got a mermaid tail blanket that Grandma made!  And you can kinda see the matching pjs the girls have!

December isn't all Christmas....

Okay it is mostly...

The THS band put on the Polar Express again this year!

We hosted the Johnson family Christmas at our house the weekend before Christmas.  It was nice enough the kids played outside almost all day, and we were able to get a family photo!

Alexis wasn't into it...and a little distracting.  This was the only one we got...and I had to crop Melissa out of the photo!

But, the weather has been nice enough Jed has been getting a lot of work done!

Jace and Connor have each gotten to go for a ride in the new spreader!

Somewhere along the way we got wrapped up in a cattle drive too...and by wrapped up, I mean Connor and I kept Max in the truck with us and blocked the road...but the kids thought this was awesome!

The kids and their blankies "Minnie" and "Blue blankie" are all snuggled in!

The Friday night before Christmas, we hosted a diaper shower for Jena and Carl and baby Tharman! Santa even made an appearance! 

Max, Connor, Brook, Jace, and the Porter and Jensen Owens with Santa!

The next morning we found time to make cookies for Santa!

And on Christmas Eve we woke up to SNOW!  The kids got all excited and dressed up to play!  They played, and sledded, and went with Jed to Troy to clear off at Pinnacle.  It wasn't that much snow...but they had a lot of fun with it!

And I was super excited they BOTH ended up taking a nap!  Heading into the craziness of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day it was needed!!!

December. And so it begins...

We hang the lights...and the star...

We trim the tree, and have the TGS music program.

Which is so adorable...but also goes on for SOOOOOO long...

Brook and Connor are troopers...and do their best to stay occupied for the duration!

Meanwhile...Connor does her own thing...

The very beginning of December began with the Johnson family Christmas!

Can't believe this happened!

OH! And Deer season!  Connor had been begging to go when Jed would take Jace bow hunting with him--so during gun season she got to go and was so excited!  

Notice: No girl goes hunting without a coordinating hair bow.

Bonus: They did actually see a deer!  Didn't shoot anything, but so glad they saw something!
