Pioneer Meeting

Yep, it's that time of year.

Field day!

These handsome fellas may not attend the plot tour...but they love hanging out during the meeting!

Baseball and Babies

Colton and Jace would play baseball all night.  Kyler....not so much.

These two enjoyed just having some girl talk...

A new trick...or I guess I should say she has done it before, but it is ALL THE TIME now.

Thank goodness for brothers that don't mind their sisters crawling all over them!

Science City

Connor's latest trick..."Whatcha eating?"

On a whim, decided to go to Science City.  We took along Grandma Janie, Aunt Jena, and Aunt Morgan.  Definitely had the kids outnumbered.  Should have waited one more week before going....I think this was the last week the KC schools were out for the summer and therefore it seemed like every child in a summer program was at Science City and running wild.  We still did some fun stuff though!  This was probably Jace's favorite...and all he did was sit in it!

Those fun Aunt's will just go anywhere with you!

Last summer, this kid would have never gone into a dark tube, by himself, not knowing where it was going...

Poor Connor didn't make it the whole day...

Splash Park

It took all summer...but we finally made it to the Splash Park in Atchison.  We met the Luedke's down there, and picked up Aunt Debi on the way!  She happened to call that morning and wasn't busy, so we talked her into going with us!  Picked up some pizza for lunch and we were set!

Jace, who normally just doesn't eat, even at 2 or maybe even 3 pieces!

Babies did what they do best....just hang out...

Unless you are crawling, and then you wander around picking up all kinds of yucky stuff...

I wanted to get a picture of Jace and Connor, and this little girl comes right over and stands behind Jace.  And looked at me the entire time.  She knew what she was doing....and with kids, if they sit together for a picture once they won't do it again, so this is what we got.

It was a lot of fun...and a great day for it!

And....it was one of the last days Connor was hanging out in this carseat...time to move up to a bigger one!

Muddy Puddles

Thank goodness for rain, mudboots, camo, and muddy puddles.

And fishing practice!

Meanwhile, Connor just hangs out in the wagon...

Unless she can get a ride somewhere...

 We walked up by the garden and found a ripe pepper...satisfied her for awhile!  She didn't even try to eat it!  One day we were up there and she was fussing in the wagon, so I gave her a very small pumpkin to hold, so small it was green...I turned around a little bit later and she had gnawed off some of the pumpkin.  Yummy.

Sweet Corn, anyone?

10 months....seriously?

She won't sit still, but she is always happy, laughing, loves loves LOVES Jace, hops out of my arms and into Jed's when he comes home, she is just so precious.  She kind of says, "Hi"...or she says that a lot even if that isn't what she is really saying.  She also says, "Ace" which we translate to "Jace" and she says that all the time, and even when she is looking at him...so I'm not sure if that's what she is meaning to say or not, but I wouldn't be surprised!

Oh, and Jace?  Still in love with her.  He lets her scratch and pinch him, but he loves that she wakes him up every morning, he loves to play with her, and hasn't been too annoyed by her....yet.
