Pumpkin Patch!

We went back to Renyer's Pumpkin Patch again this year.  The kids had no trouble at all jumping right in!

We slid....

They triked...

Even Connor got some help from Aunt Jena on the trike!  (Aunt Melissa and Grandma B and Grandma J went too!)

They rode horses...

They posed for a picture...but the sun was too bright!

Didn't bother these two!

They used the water pumps for duck races...

Jace climbed the "Tire Mountain"...

And they all did the obstacle course a few times!

The babies mostly did this... 

Found a load of pumpkins to take home!

They bounced on this huge bounce pit....whatever it is called...

But Jace didn't last long.  The only thing he could focus on was the corn maze, so we had to go do that!  And it was muddy in spots, so luckily we convinced him the entrance was the end and we had made it all the way through!

After the corn maze, Jace was obsessed with going on the hayrack ride.

How tall this fall?

We slid some more...

And we found Spookley!  Which believe it or not, is a real book and movie!

And we rode the wagons.

It was great weather and a great time at the pumpkin patch!

Football and Fun...

Connor loves Angus.  She gets so excited and screams when she sees him.

And even though these pictures are blurry...you can tell he loves her too!

Birthday Photoshoot. Part 2

All about the birthday girl.

Who wasn't really into cake smashing.

But how about cake dropping?

 

And how about that cake?

And...how about those baby rolls?

 

Knowing Connor, and how she likes to eat...she seemed to be not smashing it so that she could try to eat every last bite...

 

 

Blonde hair and big, brown eyes.  Hair like her Mommy, eyes like her Daddy...

And don't miss the pretty painted purple toes...

 

At one year old Connor is:

 

Standing, but not walking.

Eating lots of table food.

Jace and Connor love playing together, especially if Jace is chasing her around...

She is into everything.  EVERYTHING.  Childproofing is in full force around our house...

Loves climbing on the stairs...and we even blocked off the stairs, so she tries to climb on the outside of the stairs...sigh.

The best word that she says?  "Jace."  Makes me smile all the time.  Even when we are in church, in dead silence and you hear her little voice, "Jace?  Jace? JACE!"  "Where go?"

 

She is the best addition to our family.  And we love her to pieces.

 

Happy Birthday Connor.

Birthday Photoshoot. Part 1.

This should maybe be called...."Be ready for a LOT of photos..."

 

We took Jace and Connor to Sarah Falk Photography to get their pictures taken.  They turned out great.  And that's an understatement....

 

 

It is amazing to me how much Jace has grown in the last year.  He is THE BEST big brother.  Of course, the more mobile Connor gets, the more he wants to do with her that ends up being a little rough sometimes, but that is going to happen!  He is always wanting to wake her up in the morning, and she just screams with excitement when she sees him or hears his voice!  And always kisses her good night.  I'm gonna cherish this while it lasts....

 

See the red mark on Connor's arm?  Bug bite.  Every time she gets a bug bite it gets huge!

 

And of course this precious girl has grown a lot her first year!  God knew exactly what he was doing giving her to us.  (Funny story: a while back Jace asked me where Connor was before we got her.  I told him that God had her until he knew we were ready for her to be part of our family.  Imagine my surprise when Aunt Jena was watching the kids one day and texted me that Jace told her that exact story!)

 

She just lights up our family.  She is always happy, laughing, good natured...and of course she cries when she is hungry, she is clingy when she is tired or not feeling good, at bedtime she only wants Momma...and Momma doesn't mind.  :)  However, as easy going as she seems, when she gets mad or wants something, you better believe she will fight, hit, kick, scream, crawl over anything to get to it!

 

I'm so excited to be turning 1!!!



Birthday Cake

I was pretty proud of the birthday cake I made for Connor.  And I loved the teal/purple combination!

 

She tried to be shy and cover her face when we sang Happy Birthday, but she was still all smiles!

And then we gave the cake to Connor.  Who was not interested in touching it, eating it, and definitely not smashing it.
