The Ice Storm of 2017...that wasn't.

We got to spend more time at the doctor in January...yay.

We also "got" to spend time with Dad at the farm show...no surprise where Connor wanted to spend all her time...

The "Ice Storm" was talked up for days...everyone was in the usual panic.  And this is how much ice we got....

We got LUCKY.  And the weather was nice enough we got to go for a hike!

These kiddos are up for anything that involves being outside!

Connor was in my classroom and left her mark....

Warm Weather...

We have had some NICE weather in January. 

Jace spent some time shooting Colton's old bow, since Colton got a new one for Christmas...

We had an intense card game night...

Pictures of the cat house...and the cat.  This was supposed to be a dog house...but the cats have taken it over.  And two pictures because each of them needed a turn holding the cat...

Took advantage of a nice day (a super nice day that we didn't have school because of a water main break woohoooooo!)  and took the Luedke kids (minus Cassidy) on a walk through the timber.  Colton thought he was dying before we got back to the house...and I do think it turned out to be a couple miles...whoops....

Dad + Movie = Connor's perfect night!

Jena and I took the kids roller skating!  Jace did awesome for his first time!  He kept falling down but got right back up!  We told him this was a requirement for skiing, so he was determined!  Connor seemed to enjoy it for awhile...but really just wanted some popcorn!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day we end up at Grandma and Grandpa J's to celebrate with family there...

Jace got the softest moose shirt ever...

Connor got a chair for her doll--so she can do her doll's hair!   

And a BABY horse to go with her Mommy horse!  (Which she is considering naming the mom "Spaghetti" and the baby "Meatballs" or maybe "Noodles"...stay tuned....)

We are always SO tired after these two days are over...but it really is fun.  I love that we can spend Christmas with both sides of our family.  And clearly our kids are spoiled!

And the kids picked out coffee for Dad.  When they were picking it out, someone walked by and suggested that Chocolate Cake Donut was the best ever, so of course when someone tells your kids "donut" they have to get it.  So they got that one and an old favorite, hazelnut. *For the record, the chocolate cake donut was not very good....
