Mr. Potato Pumpkin People

Say Cheese!  Jace and Kyler took some time drawing on their pumpkins to decorate them, and then we made them into Mr. Potatoe-head people!

Look at our Pumpkin People!  Kyler and her Princess, Jace and his Cowboy.

That's right Kyler.  We took a picture so now you can demolish your pumpkin.

*I don't have a picture of Colton and his pumpkin because Colton was busy working with his Dad.  But, he made a pumpkin too, and hopefully his mom posts some pictures of it on their blog here!

Ahhh....Harvest.

Grandma and Grandpa Boos took time out for a picture with the Grandkids!  Kyler and Jace are now about 19 months...Colton is 4!

It's hard to get everyone to smile at once.  AND look at the camera.

After all, there is work to be done.

Jace knows where the "bine" or "bombine" a.k.a. Combine is.  And, he can tell when it's dad getting out of the combine!

Thank goodness for the buddy seat.  Jace is SO happy to be in the combine.  Which of course, makes Dad happy.

Can you tell who the driver is of this tractor?  Colton?!?!  Yep.  With his favorite buddy Aaron "supervising!"

Birthday, Pumpkins, Cows, and Angus. (The dog, not the cow).

Last weekend my sisters and I celebrated my oldest sister's birthday.  Here we are: Melissa, Jennifer (birthday girl), and me.

Jace took an interest in pumpkins last weekend too.  These little pumpkins are just the right size for him to move around.

Wait....is Angus stealing one of the pumpkins?

Not sure who was more interested in who...but Jace got to observe a staredown between Angus (the dog) and a cow.

Notice the dog is a little further away now.....

And then he just decided to plop down and watch the cows.

If animals could talk...oh the conversation they would have.

Mulberry Pond Pumpkin Patch

We made a trip to the pumpkin patch this weekend!  We went to Mulberry Pond, outside of Hiawatha.  It was just right for Jace, and he got to enjoy it with his cousins Kyler and Colton, and both Grandma's, and Aunt's Jena, Melissa, and Jennifer!

He had no problems hopping right into the corn-sandbox.

Aunt Jennifer shows him "Spot" the goat.

He loved petting the bunny.

And tried to get close to a rooster and some chickens.

Jace and Kyler had so much to see and do at the pumpkin patch!

And let's not forget Colton the scary Tiger was there too!

Someone snuck up on Jace as he was trying to get back into the corn-sandbox.

What are you doing Spot?

Ahhh....this is the life.

WHOA!  That's a tall stack of hay-bales!

With a big slide on the other side!  And this kid (Colton), wouldn't hardly go down the big slide at our house WITH HELP this summer...now he is unstoppable!

Look really close...it's Aunt Jena with Jace at the top!  She took him down the slide, and he loved it!

Mom, and a Jace that is focused on a tractor behind the camera.

A hay-bale fort!  C'mon Kyler let's check it out!

And some fun tubes to play in.  Jace wanted nothing to do with these when we first got to the patch, but at the end he was in and out of them all!

A new friend shows Jace the way out of this maze!

Trying to get a picture....we weren't very successful.   Should have done that first!

And, two very unhappy kiddos...they were both running away trying to escape, and I had to grab both of them at the same time, by their arms, which resulting in two unhappy kids, laying on the ground.  Overall though, we had a great time at the Pumpkin Patch!

September Recap....

As long as the weather allows, we love to eat outside.

Swinging is one of our favorites things to do in our backyard.  Angus loves to play too!

We are getting brave enough to go down the slide by ourself...

And we're trying to climb the ropes too.

Jace loves to smell the flowers....

And play in his "treehouse."  This is where he usually parks his car, wagons, trike, everything.

Did someone say wagon?

Oh yes, we even go down the BIG slide by ourselves.

In the process of getting new doors...these makeshift plastic doors were no match for some Kansas wind last week...and a 1 1/2 year old saw an opportunity to escape!

Peek-a-boo!
