A Wedding...and the end of July..

We attended Kevin and Mackenzie Luedke's wedding at the end of July....they had an awesome photo bus, that once it was discovered our kids pretty much lived in it...but we had some fun too!

The gang's all here!

Connor and Jace, as expected, had the time of their life on the dance floor and playing with the kids outside...

Celebrated 10 years with the guy the day before the wedding...

And got a picture of these guys while we were at it...

Claire and Connor...having a blast!

And some random July photos...

One morning this guy was up EARLY.  Early enough I told him he needed to go back to bed...and then I found him sleeping on the floor in the office...in the midst of some farming..

And PRIORITIES.  Not only does she not wear pants most days, she also sometimes escapes without panties...

Helping Connor learn to ride...

And trying to have a picnic outside...I think it was so windy we ended up back inside this day!

Random Park Discovery...

We had to go pick up beef in Bern, KS.  I completely forgot, until we drove by it, they have the neatest park.  So, we stopped.  And we played.  And it was a lot of fun!

Mirror, mirror, on the wall....

Introducing....

So, Connor is potty trained.  We think.  So we were on the hunt for some kitties, and Carl and Jena found some, and delivered. The kids were SUPER excited.

They lived the first couple days in the garage, then they got kicked out.  Jace and I both cleaned up some poop, and that was enough of that.  So please meet: Ace (the black one) and Tinkerbell (the gray one).  We have another not-so-friendly cat running around, and her name is now Pickle.  Yep, Pickle.  Here's hoping they last longer than any other kitties at our house...

Deanna Rose...Summer '16

We LOVE Deanna Rose.  I think every year it seems new and different to the kids, and hasn't gotten old to me yet!  This year we had more fun with cousins Max and Brook, their moms, and Grandma J joining us!

This is where the trouble began.  Probably karma for me...you see, you have to be THREE to ride the pony.  I paid for the tickets, and told the girl I had a 3 and 6 year old.  She's a few months away from being three, right?  And is so big...so we went for it.  We were in line, and I see the girl putting them on the ponies was asking THE KIDS how old they were.  So I asked Connor how she was, ready to convince her she was three.  But she said, "I'm free."  a.k.a. 3.  So, she rode the pony.

And now that's all she talks about.  When are we going back?  Can I have a pony?  I NEED a pony!

I don't think she is going to give it up any time soon.

Jace also rode a pony.  If you can tell, he got the littler pony.  I did this on purpose.  One of the "handlers" seemed a little more in-tune with the little kids...so I thought if Connor had any problems, she would be safer with her.  After she got done, I was just glad she got off without throwing a fit!

At this point in the day, one of them wasn't interested in being cooperative....

It was a fun, fun day!

Meanwhile..

Took this crew to pick sweetcorn.  A LOT of sweet corn.

We picked all the sweet corn for the first ever Boos family "reunion"...a gathering of my grandparents' kids and grandkids.  It's too hard for us all to get together at Christmastime anymore, so how about a little "Christmas in July"?

It was complete with competitive games, and water balloons.  And poor Alexis took a water balloon over the head and got drenched...ironically thrown by her own dad...

Later that week we ventured to Hiawatha to swim at Patsy's pool while Katie was in town.  Alexis joined us too--but she didn't come for the after party at McDonalds.  Can't say I blame her...

We got a chance to watch baby Max for part of a day...he is soooooo sweet....even loved his nap on the princess couch.  He seemed to just hang out and watch the kids play!

And we all had to take a turn holding him....

When the sweet corn was ready...it was time to pick it and freeze it! I asked Jace to shuck 20 ears while I was mowing the yard, and he set up shop and just kept going and going!  What a worker!

Working on catching some fish to stock the new farm pond...spent a HOT afternoon fishing and caught about 50 blue gill I think...Connor wasn't interested, which was fine with me since she wanted to be close to the water, and Jace is all about fishing...he baits his own hook and tries to take his own fish off.

Unfortunately, it was super hot, and we stopped to talk to Grables when we left the pond...so a lot of the fish were dead by the time we threw them in the pond...

Connor doing a little reading...of American Hunter...

An intense after supper puzzle...

I'm not sure how she got ahold of this big drink in the car...but not surprised either..

And Jace getting some driving lessons while Jed does a yield check...
