K-S-U-Wildcats!

Makes this Momma proud.  :)

Pun-kin Patch

We took a trip back to the Mulberry Pond pumpkin patch last weekend.  Jace made himself right at home, with the animals and the corn...but wouldn't do the slide this year.  Here' some pictures from our day!

Time to go home!

The end.

Of harvest.  And the last of our "harvest" pictures...
Jace and I rode late with Jed one night and got this fun picture..."CHEESE!!"

Our yearly family harvest photo!  Lucky Jed's Grandma was around to take this one for us!

Remember Jace's first harvest photo?

Even got Grandma and Grandpa for a picture!

And one last photo with Dad before we went home...

Until next year!

We tried.

Last year the pumpkins were too big and rotted before October got here.
This year, they were starting to get orange and a frost got them.
Darn.

Someone suggested to Jed that we scratch letters into the pumpkins, so we tried it and it worked!  You can kind of see the J on the pumpkin...

This one has a C for Colton...

A K for Kyler.

Oh well, better luck next year.

Where does the corn go?

Here's the answer, according to a well educated 2 1/2 year old:

Yep.  Knows more about the process than a 5th grader (according to Uncle Carl.)  So proud.  : )

The Guys.

The Johnson guys that is.

Happy days, late nights, but it is harvest time!  Only for a couple more days, so this was probably our last outing at the field.  It's been fun!

Harvest Pictures with the Cousins!

You can tell Jace is in his "happy place" when you get a smile like this!

Getting a picture of Papa with the grandkids gets harder every year!

Not sure how we got that one, because when we threw Grandma into the mix, we only got partial pictures.

That was the best one.  Then we got one without Jace...

And one without Kyler.

Oh well!  Click here for our harvest shot from 2011 and 2010

Deanna Rose Farmstead

Okay, so we went to the Deanna Rose Farmstead in AUGUST....but I just remembered I hadn't ever posted pictures...I think...so hopefully these aren't repeats.

This place was CHEAP.  $2/adult, and that's only if you go on Friday-Saturday-Sunday.  The other days of the week it's FREE.

Jace enjoyed tormenting the geese...

Playing the cowbells...

Trying out the tractor seats...

Checking out the cows...(wait, don't we have those at home?)

Could barely get him to pose for a picture...

The baby goats were a huge hit with Jace.

Especially when they hopped up on this stump and he could push them off.

We fed the fish...which we have done a lot this summer it seems.

Hung out with Grandma (Aunt Jena went too...)

Worked on our colors...

Fed some big goats (I think...)

Took a hayrack ride...

Talked to the horses...

And went down this HUGE slide!

Okay, so he may have hesitated when we got to the top, but I may have just pushed him down it without giving him time to change his mind...turned out to be a good decision because he went down it several times!

And tried out some playground equipment.

It was a great day and a really neat place!
