Baby steps...

Or I guess we should say TODDLER steps...we upgraded Jace's bed again...he now has the box springs under the mattress.  It's going to be awhile before he gets the bed frame though, as the one he is going to be using will put the mattress a good 4' off the floor.  At least.  He loves his "NEW BED!"  and was so excited to show it to ColtonandKy when they came over.  He mostly loves the "new" tractor blanket.  Grandma Janie came across this at her house, and it turns out that Grandma Carol made it for Jed while we were dating.  Jace thinks it fits his bed just right!

Here is what happens when you let a 2 year old play with your camera:  you get some weird color settings.  Super.  This was at the Johnson-Turpin shower for Jena last weekend.  Jace and I, Jena, Aunt Brenda, and Allie.

Got those camera settings fixed!  Jace and Kyler love to swing, and Colton and Jennifer love to push them in the swings!  Okay maybe not, but it's nice to be able to contain the two 2-year olds for a little while!

The Last of the Wedding Shots...

Jed was making fun of me and my picture taking style...so I had to get extra love-y dove-y with him.  And what do you know...it looks like this old picture I had on the computer!

The above picture was Jay's truck round 1...should have just left it.  The pictures from round 2 can be found here, and one is below.  Jace has really good handwriting for a 2 year old!

Speaking of Jace...here he is, the day after the wedding, with his road grader that Grandma and Grandpa and Jena got for him for being SO good at the wedding!

More Wedding!

I'm going to spare most of the details, since it has already been discussed.*  To sum it up:  We went to Nebraska, Jay and Morgan got married.  It was a GREAT time.  :)

Never would have noticed this if my mother-in-law hadn't pointed it out: they are made for each other...see what they are doing with their hands?

HA!  I am not good at arranging flowers.  But hey, when they come in a bundle and all you have to do is put them in a vase and fluff them up, I couldn't hardly mess it up, right?

This is a shot Janie took when Jay and Morgan were seeing each other for the first time on a bridge up ahead.  Everyone was trying to get a glimpse!

*This may be overkill on the photos, but I mostly do this blog for Jace.  Each year I print him a book from our blog posts after his birthday, so I try to document everything on here, so he can see it all in his book someday.  Seriously, it is the best, easiest scrapbook I could ever do for him!   Thus the reason for the overload of pictures and information sometimes.  :)

June.

Is flying by.  Sigh.  But we're having fun.

Going to tee-ball games...where Colton is playing so good!  Kyler feels like she is missing out...

And even Jace gives some coaching advice...

We went swimming last weekend at Curtis and Jaime and "Tooper's" (Cooper) house...which was a lot of fun since it was so hot...but Jace wasn't really a fan.

Kyler however, is a waterbug.  She just kinda floated around and only cried if she got stuck somewhere!

We upgraded our pool to have more room for 3 kiddos...

And sometimes the dog wants to play in the water too.

What a cheese.

Meanwhile....

Jace is just hanging out.

Wild bed-head...and oversized shorts.

Make for perfect swimming.  In a cooler.  Why not?

See mom?  "I okay."

And let's throw in a picture from Jena's first shower, from the Tharman family.

And back to Jace.  Our child of the corn.

Or, as he would rather, IN the corn.

He has loved being in the corn, and even got to scout a field with Jed last week and loved it.  Doesn't bother him at all to be in the corn, and get all scratchy and dirty.  Kinda scary....but I think now he is content to look at the corn from the outside.

And look at this brave guy---Colton on top of that tall stack of hay!  "Helping" throw hay at his house.

Jace was very concerned about the tractor, of course.

And Kyler, well, she can be super cute.  When she wants to be.
