OUR Family Photos.

Are always an adventure.  But we always end up with some good, some silly, and most that just really show the kids' personalities.

Jace is 7, and Connor is 4.

My kids were so lucky to get to do pictures a second time!  I was dying to try out these rocks by our house...so I talked them into going down there and checking them out...the pictures turned out fantastic!

Family Photos...Brook and Max edition...

Brook turned 2 in June...and will be a big sister in January!!

Max is about 1 1/2 years old!

Uncle Jed was there to help get Max to smile...they had some fun!

Family Photo Time....Boos Edition

Of all the kids in these pictures....whose aren't being cooperative?  Ugh.

I'm like, "Alexis is 2 years old.  And she hates pictures.  Stand still and smile."  And this is what we got from my kiddos.  Oh well...ha ha!

The parentals...

The Luedke family: Colton is 10, Kyler 7, and Cassidy is 4.

The Powell family: Alexis turned 2 in September!

What a lady.

I am 34 years old and have never lost a grandparent until now.
Between Jed and I, we have 7 living grandparents.  So, our kids have had 7 GREAT-grandparents their entire life.
On November 18, we lost my Grandma Pat Boos.  I guess we had technically lost her long before that because she stopped knowing us a long time ago.  And when we visited her, she just wasn't there.

I got to introduce my babies to my Grandma, and that is something so special.
On the left, is Jace in March of 2010.  On the right, is Connor in September of 2013.  She was SO excited about both of them.  Which is saying a lot when you have as many kids/grandkids/great-grandkids as she has.  But she made everyone feel like they were her favorite.

This picture is from Halloween the year Alexis was born, so 2015.
Alexis was about a month old, Connor and Cassidy would have been 2, or Cassidy was almost 2, Jace and Kyler were 5, and Colton would have been 8.

This was the last Halloween we got pictures with her, 2016.  She was living at Vintage Park in Atchison at the time, an assisted living center.  The kids treated her home at VP the same as her home they had always known her in: they came in, got out "their box" and played.  At VP it was crayons and coloring, at her house it would have been toys.  Usually toys that danced and sang, but also some OLD vintage toys.  :)

At her funeral, we were able to get a picture of all the great-grandkids that were there.  This wasn't all of them...we were missing at least 4...or more...but what a tribute to a really special lady.

This was a totally new experience for Jed and I, and for our kids too.  Jace was more upset than I thought he would be, and Connor just didn't know what to think.  They both had a lot of questions, but Jace probably just watched and took it all in more than Connor who had a question about everything.  They got to carry up gifts along with all the other kids in this picture, and that was something really special, and maybe a little chaotic...but they did it!

Rest in peace Grandma.  We love you and will see you again!!!

November Fun...

This was the last or one of the very last days of harvest, November 6.  Had to get one more ride in!

Jace had an assignment for school where he had to help Tom Turkey hide so he wouldn't get eaten!

Connor has recently discovered jewelry...and looks pretty cute wearing one of my necklaces!

Thanksgiving fun!  We deep fried a turkey... and these two turkeys wanted the legs!

A couple days after thanksgiving we made some Christmas cookies!

After harvest Jed went right into lime spreading and both of the kids got to ride a couple times!

This was from our picture-taking-day I think...but they are 4-3-2 years old!

We celebrated Cassidy's 4th birthday right before Thanksgiving!  She had a Supergirl party!
