Connor's BirthDAY

Connor's actual birthday was on a Wednesday.
She opened her present in the morning...
A sparkly pink cowboy hat and a stick horse!

A picture with her Jacer-Jacey the night before...last night as a 2 year old!

Playing with one of her presents...

One of my favorite pictures in the history of ever...
When your birthday is in the middle of harvest, you pick up pizza and take your cake to the field.
Ironically, the combine was broke down so everyone was a little grumpy...but it gave us time to eat and blow out candles!
We did heath bar cake for her birthday...but put butterfingers on top instead.  Yum!

Let's do a family photo while we can!

Before we went to the field we had some time to go to the park, one of her favorite things to do.  The "blue park", aka, the one at the community center in Troy.  And Cassidy came too!

Connor is wild, but she is full of spunk.
She loves macaroni, and chocolate milk!
She runs, jumps, loves to swing, slide, garden, gets dirty, plays with her kittys and her boy Angus.
She is a one-of-a-kind Jim Dandy.
She's all ours.  And we love her!

She's getting really good at opening presents!

More Septemberness...

Connor loves her Zucchini pie....

Harvest started and she caught a ride with Dad....

Cassidy and Connor, apparently both needing tissues....

Got her first "real" haircut...she doesn't sit very still for me to cut it so I thought we would try to get a real haircut.  She didn't sit very still for Terra either, but she did get a sucker!

A little pre-nap selfie....

Jace checking to see if the semi is full yet...

Fun with some cousins!  Pulling Alexis in the wagon and making faces with Cassidy!

Just a Friday at Barb's...but loved this K-State cheer outfit, and a sunflower from our garden!

Playing with her kitty, "driving" the semi, and trying on one of my old dresses at Grandma B's house..

Catching another ride with Dad, in the combine this time!

Sporting our Pioneer appael

And twinning at Grandma and Grandpa B's house...they watched the girls while we all went to the high school football game.

Alexis is O-N-E!

She had a very Bubbly first birthday party!

She was more interested in her Mom and Dad's phones than in opening presents....

But Cassidy sure liked her presents!

And she was really looking forward to her cake, and didn't want to stop for a picture!

Family photos!  Connor and Jed stayed home--we thought Connor was getting sick, or getting Hand-Foot-Mouth....so just Jace and I got to attend the festivities.

And a few photos of Alexis!!

Jena's Birthday and a BIG Hole.

We celebrated Jena's birthday on September 14 with kids and cake....

And we got a BIG hole for her birthday!  And big is an understatement.  :)

That's our road.  Or, I should say, that was our road.  Now our road is a lonnnnnnnng ways around, or we are shortcutting through the field.

So we got a LOT of rain.  I wanna say, 10 inches?  When you get that much rain, that fast, you get some serious flash flooding.  Oh, and you also get an out of control Wolf River, that cuts into the bank and it literally eats your road.  We can tell there is a spring or something under the road, so that didn't help.

Oh, and we also lost our power.  In the middle of the night.  Call the electric company, and get a call from them, personally, in the middle of the night.  They called to say our light pole is literally, in the river.  It sloughed off and fell into the river.  SO, they obviously had to wait until morning, get a bull dozer to get through the corn in the field, get a truck out there, and set a new pole.

Huh.  Who knew?
