Our Kball Boy.

As if he doesn't grow up during the school year enough...try 6 weeks of Kball.  From beginning to end...wow.

His team.  Back row: Tucker Jarrett, Ty Horner, Kaston Jasper, Brennan Smith, Brock Ferris, and Gavin Woodruff.  Front row: Colton Sigrist, Jace, Lincoln Salisbury, Riley Grable, and Don Nelson.

Proud boy with his 3rd place medal.

His team with Coaches...Derek Jasper, Brian Salisbury, Brad Smith, Cole Jarrett, and Matt Woodruff.
Also Trey Stufflebean at the end of the middle row wasn't in the team picture.

His favorite position.  Drives Jed nuts.  But he LOVES Salvador Perez, the Royals' catcher.  He loves it when he plays catcher.  And, the LAST game, Jace actually stopped a runner from scoring because he actually was paying attention and picked up a ball that went past the pitcher.  So...he loves catcher.

Third place.  SO proud of them.  They lost to Colton's team, the go into the losers bracket, then worked back up to play Colton's team again, and played so good against them.  Had it not been a double header for Jace's team that day, they could have beat them.  But, Colton's team wasn't playing well at all.  So, it was super exciting and super fun....I was told to calm down a couple times.  Oh my goodness it's intense.  But it's over, and on to next year!

I took Jace to the ballfield the morning after his last game to get a few more pictures and he started crying when we got there.  When he finally would talk to me, he said "I just wish I could play one more game with my team..."

And so it begins.  :)

KBALL 2016...Family.

I love living close to our family.  There were multiple family members at all of Jace's games.  It helps that we play at most 15 miles from home...but still.  Nothing makes me happier than them taking time out of their day to come (sweat) and watch Jace play baseball.  I had no idea it would be this much fun, and yes, dare I say, exciting.  :)

Some games it looked like he never practiced at home, but yes, mom and dad practiced with him.  A lot.  Some days more than others, but he loves it and we love it, so it's fun to do together!

Sister did a great job at the games.  She was happy with popcorn to get her through the game, and at the end of the season when it got hot she discovered popsicles, but even then, she didn't complain too much about sitting through the games.

Some grandparents, Jerry and Janie and Jerry and Carol; and Uncle Carl, Aunt Jena, and Brook.  Don't mind Connor in these pictures...it was Jace's last game and someone gave her a cookie with blue frosting.

Having cousins the same age is fun, even if you have to play against them.  Colton and Jace were in the same league, and in the tournament Colton's team handed Jace's team their second loss to knock Jace out of the tournament.  It was a great game though, and Jace's team was all K-1st graders, and they only lost by 1 run to Colton's team of 2nd graders.

Speaking of the tournament, Colton's team ended up beating an undefeated DWest team TWICE in one night, because DWest hadn't lost a game, and Colton's team won 1st place in the tournament!  I've said it before and I'll say it again...I had NO IDEA Kball could be so intense.

KBall Boys.  On a 1st place and Jace's team ended up with 3rd place.  Not too shabby!

The gangs all here!  In some shape and form...

A picture with baby Max at one of his games...

Me and my kiddos after a ball game....

Connor.  What can I say????

I think this was during tournament week...after being gone every night to games...tired kiddos.

Funny thing though...the difference between our kids.  Jace is a snuggler....Connor is not.  Right after I got this picture Connor pulled away from him so he couldn't touch her.

Sweet little Brook!

The Tharmans.

"Great" Aunt Debi.  She was at most of Jace's games...her and Connor got along realllll well, because Debi always got a popcorn!

The Trio again.

The Johnson family.

Love them all.

Shenanigans.

Connor loves her dresses...

The kids and I visited a good college friend of mine, Kara, and her daughter Linnea in Kansas City.  They lived in Sweden for a year, and Linnea was born there, so while they have been back in the states we needed to meet this sweet girl!

The kids LOVE to help out in the kitchen...so sometimes I let them...

Hay time is another one of Jace's favorite times on the farm...tried to get a picture of him and Jay as they were headed off to move some hay bales...

These two together...it's move than double trouble...

But they can be so helpful to each other...

But when naptime rolls around....I WIN!!

I could watch my sweet babies sleep all day...

This isn't my sweet baby...but she was at my house so she got to nap too!

Father's day fun!  Jerry sent me this picture--with a caption that said, "Went golfing with Dad, learned 3 new cuss words..."  HA HA!  It can be a frustrating sport.  Jerry, Jay, Jed, Carl and Jace went golfing on father's day.

We also gathered at my mom's with her family on Father's day...had some water fun and some baseball fun!

When you get free bowling passes for the summer, you go bowling!

Likewise, when they show free movies in the summertime, you go to the movies!  The "Canned" film festival shows old movies and the cost of admission is one can of food...so the kids and I went to see Despicable Me 2, one of Connor's favorite movies.

After the movie we stopped at the hospital to see Grandma Pat Boos, and Grandpa B was there too....my kids don't show him any mercy...Jace was busy "shopping" in the fireworks ad that they handed out at the movie theater.

Somehow we ended up at Dairy Queen this day too...so I was able to teach them a valuable life skill: eating ice cream cones.

We crafted one day.  I let the kids paint, and paint, and paint...and we ended up with a wall of sea creatures in our kitchen!

And last, a picture of this sweet girl and her baby.  Worn Out.
