Is it really December?

This weather feels more like March.  We've got snow sleds sitting around that we are dying to use...and today's high temperature is supposed to be around 65 degrees!  Although it does make good weather for washing some dirty windows and taking down Christmas decorations outside!

Angus is too quick for the camera!  Hasn't he grown since we first got him?

Jace was dragging his wagon around everywhere!

And was so helpful picking up the trash!

Jace is such a good helper!

Christmas Day!

Jace got a rocking horse for Christmas...which he was scared of at first...but before too long he was so good at rocking that we had to move it away from the stone fireplace!

Jace helping Daddy to open his present.

We spent Christmas Day at Grandma Janie and Grandpa Jerry Johnson's.  In this picture he is trying out his new sled from Grandma and Grandpa.  Now if we could only get some snow!

Where's Jace?

Daddy helping Jace put together his new train set....

Choo, Choo!

Peek-a-boo! Who needs new toys?

Grandma Janie and Grandpa Jerry Johnson and Jace!

Jace, Dad and Mom--at the end of Christmas Day!

We went to our last Christmas gathering on the 26th...the Turpin family Christmas.  Jace got some more trains to play with!  He took some time to show Grandpa how they work.

Had to get a photo to remember this day..about 30 minutes after we had gotten there Jace threw up all over himself and Mom...yuck!  Thank goodness we happened to have some spare clothes!

Dad, Jace, and Grandpa check out his new trains.

A photo with Great-Grandma Lucille at the end of our whirlwind Christmas adventure!

Family photo!

Trying to catch a picture of SUPER FAST Colton!

Jace patiently awaited opening presents!

One of Jace's gifts from Grandma and Grandpa...a vacuum cleaner!

Colton got a new backpack from Aunt Melissa and Aaron.

And a baseball glove from us....that he will need to grow into a little bit!

Jace opening up a very noisy CAT toy from the Luedke's.

Kyler wasn't feeling very good that night...in this picture she is just mad that we put the vacuum cleaner away for awhile.

Mmmm....Christmas cookies!

Jace is in his pajama's, ready to go home, but needs to have one more snack with Grandpa!

I'm pretty sure this picture was at 10:30 or later that night...still going strong!

Christmas, round two.

Jace got to help me make some Christmas goodies last week...such good help!

Mom, Jace, Dad, Soon-to-be Aunt Morgan, Uncle Jay, Aunt Jena, and Soon-to-be Uncle Carl!

Morgan and Jace catch up some news while waiting to open gifts at Great-Grandma Erma and Great-Grandpa George Johnson's house.

And he quickly got good at helping EVERYONE open their gifts!

Taking a rest from opening gifts...trying out his new booster seat!

2 Down....

.....5 Christmas's to go!
We started our Christmas Celebrations this past weekend.  It's so great that ours are spread out from the 17th to the 26th....so we have a lot of places to go but we don't have to rush around!
On Saturday we had our first Christmas, which was the Boos Family Christmas.  At the very beginning we decided it would be a good time to take a picture of our family, since there were extra people around to take a picture for us!  Amazingly, Jace, Colton, and Kyler sat still while we did this!

Aaron and Melissa, Grandpa Jerry, Grandma Carol and Jace, Derek, Colton, Jennifer, and Kyler, and Jed and Angela.

The Luedke Family!

The Johnson Family!

Santa Claus made a surprise visit....and this is about how it went!  Pretty comparable to last year, well for Colton anyway.  Last year Jace could have cared less, and Kyler was sleeping.  This year Jace couldn't get far enough away!

On Sunday we celebrated the Johnson family Christmas (Grandma Darlyne and Grandpa Richard's families).  Jace and Kyler were too little to even earn a seat at the kids table!

Lots of family gathered around to open presents!  Uncle Mike and Tina Johnson, Cheyenne, Wade, and Colton on the floor, Derek, Jennifer, Kyler; Jessica and Jaeleigh Johnson, and Clay Johnson.

Grandma Darlyne and Grandpa Richard!  Not the best picture...but the only one I got!

Showing off some presents!  Clay and Wade Johnson, and Colton Luedke.

And one random picture....

Christmas Card Outtakes

It's hard to get Jace to stand still.

And to get the camera to cooperate at the exact moment that he smiles and stands in just the right position!

But you get some good ones sometimes!

Love that Christmas Tree!

He sat here for about 5 seconds.

Got him to sit here for a couple minutes...probably because he was afraid of falling off, and Angus was running around for him to watch.

Couldn't keep him in the wagon for long.  But don't our Christmas lights look good?  The score is:
Angus: 7 Christmas Decorations: 0.  He's chewed through a light up flamingo, and 3 sets of lights.  Plus 3 bows.  Why do I bother?  Because we've never decorated our house before and I LOVE coming home after dark with the lights on already.

And we have Christmas trees inside to look at.....

Thinks he can see Daddy outside...

Or Santa?

And these are random...he's getting tall!  This is his "growth chart" in his room...a cornstalk!

And an "Alphagator" in his bathroom!  Jace is showing off how good he is at brushing his teeth...when he wants to he can do a pretty good job!
