Helloooooo Summer!

Jace has graduated to the big-boy swing or the "No straps swing".

 

 

He got Buzz and Woody all packed for an overnight stay with Grandma and Grandpa Boos!

 

And with Summer comes storms, and everyone needs a good friend during a thunderstorm.

 

And with all the rain the river comes up...

 

Yikes.

Hiking and Planting...

And Angus.  This is how Jace likes to give Angus treats.  Just give him the whole bag because "He's really hungry Mom!"

 

 

Jace and I have been walking out on the road....after we walk for awhile we stop and Jace gets to get out of the stroller so we can go through the gate and look at the ponds to see if there are any fish in there!

 

Jace and I got to ride in the tractor while Jed was finishing up at our farm.  Jace even got to push the buttons to get the LAST rows of beans planted!

Watermelon and Trains....

Because we still love watermelon on a nice, warm day in May!

 

 

Got his wagon hitched to the tractor...he is ready to help me in the yard!

 

And we were driving through Atchison one Saturday morning and saw the train station so we decided to stop!

 

Easy to say Jace was excited and is ready to go back!

 

Couldn't convince him to ride the train by himself.....it was a neat little ride though!

Just Another Day....

In our paradise.

This tractor was in the shop when we moved here.  It was left, because it was broke.  Tried a new battery charger, and that didn't work.  Ordered a new battery and TA-DA!!!

One extremely happy little boy.

We went EVERYWHERE with it last night.  Up the hill to the deer blind and food plot.  Back to the garden.  Down to the mail box.  I have to admit....it has some serious "get-up-and-go."

With the grass being tall and a little soft underneath...sometimes you have to get off and push.

And sometimes Mom is supposed to push.

This is absolutely Jace's "paradise."

Now we just need to find the charger for it...woops!

Mushroom Hunting 101....

Step 1.  Take a nap.  No blankie?  No problem.  Just hold onto a gun.

Step 2.  Receive instructions.  Not sure who is teaching who in this picture...

Step 3.  Find mushroom.  "Do you see it Mom?"

Step 4.  Be very careful about picking it!

Step 5.  Got it!

When nature calls.....

Woohoo!  Way to go Jace!  (Okay, so Jed picked 3/4 of those by himself...but we helped a little bit!)

However, what better way to spend a snowy day in May...but to eat some mushrooms!  And Jace LOVES mushrooms!  (Darn it!)
